We developed our PELMO PANTS in the MERINO SHIELD ZERO line especially for the needs of mountain climbers who have to rely upon their equipment during long days but still need to keep things light. These short, alpine pants are made of scuff-resistant material that remains elastic, light and breathable.
In addition, our PELMO PANTS for men are cut tighter at the legs and the seam and have an anatomically shaped knee area, meaning these light alpine mountain pants will fit perfectly no matter what movement you make. As far as the features of our PELMO PANTS go, we’ve focused upon what’s important: Small essentials such as a cell phone or map can be stowed in the two pockets or the map pocket on the thigh.
Soft merino mesh inserts in the waistband and pockets ensure maximum comfort in the right areas. All this makes our PELMO PANTS for men the perfect companion for alpine activities that demand lightness and functionality. Material:
MERINO SHIELD ZERO Protection and low weight: ORTOVOX has used a mix of polyamide and elastane for the main material of our MERINO SHIELD ZERO collection. This makes the material exceptionally light and breathable, and at the same time extremely elastic and robust. The MERINO SHIELD ZERO line is water-resistant thanks to DWR treatment.
The ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. Our merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with our own wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from verfied and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature.
