A homage to fine Tasmanian merino wool: When wearing our MERINO ASHBY LONG SLEEVE SHIRT for women you’ll have a piece of Tasmania on your skin. The eastern highlands of Tasmania are home to one of the farms from which ORTOVOX obtains its merino wool. The Bennet family has been running the 2,800-hectare Ashby Farm, with its 9,000 sheep, for five generations. Inspired by their boundless passion for sheep and the land, the MERINO HERITAGE line has been created:
Our casually cut MERINO ASHBY LONG SLEEVE SHIRT for women is made from fine merino wool and organic cotton in order to provide you with the right climate, maximum comfort, and freedom of movement when in the mountains. Durability has been achieved by means of a new spinning process in which fine polyamide filaments are spun around a merino wool core. This makes the material tear and scuff resistant – without sacrificing the benefits of fine wool fibers.
The narrow stand-up collar helps protect against wind and sun, and additional reinforcements at the shoulders and elbows of the MERINO ASHBY LONG SLEEVE SHIRT for women provide protection against scuffing. Small essentials can be stowed in the breast pocket and front pocket.
Whether on the mountain or in the valley: By wearing our MERINO ASHBY LONG SLEEVE SHIRT for women you’ll have a piece of the Tasmanian highlands on your back and you’ll always be ready for a new adventure.
A homage to fine Tasmanian merino wool: Thanks to the combination of Tasmanian merino wool and organic cotton, the MERINO HERITAGE material provides maximum temperature management and wear comfort.
The fabric is robust thanks to BETA-SPUN technology: A spinning process where polyamide fibers are spun around a merino wool core. This means the fabric is extremely scuff-resistant yet also light. You can also feel the fine merino fibers on your skin – and experience all the benefits of natural merino wool.
ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP)
Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. Our merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with our own wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from certified and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin.
